INTERESTED IN FORMING A CHAPTER?
Did you know that ETA® International has Local and Student Chapters? We do! If you are looking to network with like-minded individuals, consider starting your own chapter. At ETA, the benefits of our professional organization extend to all technicians, including students or simply those with an interest in the electronics field. Establishing a chapter provides the most efficient means for our organization to reach new technicians and expand awareness about our industry. In addition to contributing to a worldwide network of technicians, chapters gain exclusive access to certification programs, awards, membership, networking, and career opportunities. ETA’s motive is to extend the benefits of our professional organization to all technicians.
Students interested in forming a chapter should first consult with a faculty advisor. The advisor can then help students pool together resources, recruit members, organize, and register. Many schools will budget for chapter expenses and the faculty advisor will often help with this. Technicians, not affiliated with a particular school, may also start a local chapter. The member designated as the chapter’s main contact should complete the same responsibilities listed above for faculty advisors.
Chapter activities include, but are not limited to: chapter discussions regarding professional opportunities and current industry practices, hosting fundraisers, team projects, field trips, guest lecturers, job fairs, resume preparation, and attending electronics conventions.
Benefits of an ETA Chapter:

• Creates opportunities for additional training and learning with specific products
• Encourages a sense of belonging with industry networking opportunities
• Provides opportunities for career counseling, preparation, and placement (visit the ETA Career Resource Center to post your resume for free or view available jobs)
