(Greencastle, Indiana) February 1, 2023: ETA® International is now offering VESI – Video Evidence Systems Implementation, a Motorola Solutions certification. This certification is for Motorola employees and affiliates only, unless invited, and Motorola Solutions has given authorization.
Prior training and experience with basic networking and systems equipment is strongly recommended as a prerequisite to the VESI certification training. The applicable multi-day SRV0147 – Motorola Solutions® Cloud-Based Video Evidence Systems Implementation (WatchGuard™) procedures training course is required. Contact your local Motorola Account Representative and/or Customer Support Manager and/or the Learning Experience Portal for more information.
The VESI certification is available as an ETA Journeyman or Stand-Alone certification. This certification includes theoretical and practical verification of modern Cloud-Based Video Evidence System equipment elements including troubleshooting and/or procedural scenarios. This certification has a 100-question written exam which must be authorized by the Motorola Solutions SRV0147 course trainer and must be passed with a score of 75% or higher. ETA® International offers the exam for $105.000. Maintaining this four-year certification is required under ISO 17024 standards, every year.
ETA offers both proprietary and non-proprietary certifications for Motorola and Channel Partner technicians. Motorola Solutions recommends that all technicians take the basic electronics Associate Certified Electronics Technician (CETa) - designated as CESa in Canada - exam prior to obtaining any of these certifications. Many technicians are also choosing to achieve the full Journeyman-level CET (designated as CES in Canada) status by taking either the Wireless Communications (WCM) or the General Communications Technician - Level 2 (GCT2) certification. Others have gone on to attain Senior Status (CETsr) or even Master Status (CETma) level CET certification.
Please note that all examinees must register for training through Motorola Solutions for the Hands-On portion of the exams. ETA does not provide training. The written portion can be taken at one of ETA's many test sites around the world.
